Training for the mountain rescue team of the financial police
The terraXcube was the location of an exercise organised by the mountain rescue service of the financial police (SAGF - Soccorso Alpino Guardia di Finanza) to test the skills of financial police officers in extreme climatic conditions.
© Eurac Research | Andrea De GiovanniThanks to our centre's advanced climate chambers, which can simulate temperatures from -40° to +60°, solar radiation, altitudes of up to 9,000 metres and adverse weather conditions, the rescue teams were able to test their preparation and technical equipment under extreme conditions in a controlled and completely safe environment.
This collaboration with the SAGF underlines the importance of the terraXcube as a centre of excellence for training and research in difficult environments, ensuring safety and efficiency in extreme situations.
